The list of competitors for the non-relay Sports Day events went up during lunch.

“I’ve got javelin … that’s the one with the SPEAR, right? Haha!” Hunter was terrifying happy.

Everyone seemed pleased with their events (I had the 100 metres!) … except Winnie. She looked like someone had eaten her last fluffmallow.

“But you’ve got high jump,” I said. “That’s a good one!”

Winnie shook her head sadly. Apparently, it was NOT a good one. Winnie didn’t think she was any good at jumping. Especially not high jumping.

“We’ll practise,” I said and for the last half hour that’s what we’ve been doing (over any low objects that didn’t have cats sitting on them).

If I’m honest, it hasn’t gone that well.
